What can we do?
We don't have to look far to see needs in this world. Material needs. Safety needs. Emotional needs. Most of all, spiritual needs. In fact, it can be overwhelming to hear day in and day out about the delusions, the hate, the anger, the that surrounds us. But we need to focus on Jesus. To trust Him. And to ask what we can do to make a difference. None of us can fix what is happening . . . but God has something He wants each of us to do.
You may already know what God wants you to be involved in and actively serving. Or you may still need to seek God about what you can do to make a difference. What is He doing and how can you help? The links above may spark some ideas.
If you are already active in what God is calling you to do, I hope you'll share about that in a guest post on my More Christian Links blog. Your post may encourage someone else to step out in faith to do what God is calling them to do. Please email me to learn more about doing that.

You may think . . .
- I'd like to help but I have enough problems of my own.
- They made their own problems. Let them fix them.
- I don't know what I could do to help.
- I will leave the problem to someone who know better than I do how to help.
- I really don't want to get involved.
Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.
1 John 3:18
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
1 Peter 4:10
"And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Acts 20:35
This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.
Titus 3:8
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
Psalm 105:1
Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”
Isaiah 6:8
