Cooperative Christian Ministry. This ministry reaches out to meet needs across two counties in North Carolina, moving people from crisis to restoration. They do this by relieving hunger and food insecurity, keeping families together in their home, and addressing homelessness and housing crises. Their network of food pantries, crisis financial assistance and continuum of housing programs are built on the support of individuals, businesses, foundations, and churches throughout the region. 

"CCM continues to impact our community and transform lives through the ministry of Jesus Christ and a demonstration of God’s love in action."

They are dedicated to helping children and families, delivering good and household essentials, offering nutrition training and clean water programs, providing school supplies, and assisting in times of disaster. They also support good banks and food pantries, school meal programs, and veterans' programs and homeless support centers. Internationally, they manage child-focused community development programs.

Hungry for Christ Food Ministry. This Hamilton, MI, organization is a food distribution ministry that freely receives and freely gives. "Thanks to the many connections we have with over 50 food manufacturers and distributors we bless over 220 nonprofit partners in 13 west Michigan counties. . . . What humbly started with a few freezers in their garage has now expanded to a warehouse with 44,000 square feet of dry storage space, 54,000 cubic feet of freezer space and 180,000 cubic feet of refrigerated space."

​I encourage you to read their story. I believe you will be encouraged and motivated to move ahead with whatever food ministry God is calling you to!

Meal Train
. Reach out in Christian love by using this handy tool to organize meals for a friend or church member or neighbor--or whoever--after a birth, surgery, or illness or any time of special need. It's free and makes the planning so easy.

Mercy Chefs. This faith-based organization serves through disaster relief, community kitchens, food insecurity response, and global outreach to needs around the world. 

There are a number of ways to get involved: 
  • Volunteer: "From professional chefs to homecooks to mechanics to an extra set of hands, there’s a place for you to get involved at Mercy Chefs."
  • Become a corporate partner. "Our corporate partners can partner with us in a number of ways: equipment and product donations, financial contributions, matching gift programs, and volunteer initiatives."
  • Become a church partner:  "By partnering with local churches and volunteers, our work can continue long after the Mercy Chefs’ team and trucks depart. In instances where we retain a permanent presence in an area, we do so by providing locals with the necessary equipment and materials, and by training them to staff and maintain operations for themselves."
