Family Values

In today's world, traditional family values seem to be losing ground every day. In the United States alone, we see these values being laughed at, criticized, and even legislated against. 

As believers, we must take a stand for what is right. As parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, we need to protect our children and future generations. 

What can we do? First and foremost, we must pray. And we must stay informed. We need to know what is happening in order to stand against it. We need to know what is happening in order to vote wisely. We need to know what is happening so that we can tell others who care.

American Family Association. The American Family Association represents and stands for traditional family values, focusing primarily on the influence of television and other media – including pornography – on our society. We believe in holding accountable the companies which sponsor programs attacking traditional family values. We also believe in commending those companies which act responsibly regarding programs they support.   AFA supporters receive a monthly letter about a specific issue with a recommended action such as sending a postcard or making a phone call. In addition, supporters receive the AFA Journal with news on various moral and family issues.

Christian Coalition of America. The Christian Coalition of America offers people of faith a vehicle for becoming actively and effectively involved in our political system at all levels of American government. We are committed to representing the pro-family agenda and educating citizens on the critical issues facing our society.

Concerned Women for America. We are the nation's largest public policy women's organization with a rich 29-year history of helping our members across the country bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy. We help people focus on six core issues, which we have determined need Biblical principles most and where we can have the greatest impact. At its root, each of these issues is a battle over worldviews.

Focus on the Family. Along with a wonderful place to find help for your own family, this is a great site for staying informed about social issues from a Christian perspective.

The Traditional Values Coalition. With an emphasis on the restoration of the values needed to maintain strong, unified families, Traditional Values Coalition, focuses on such issues as religious liberties, marriage, the right to life, the homosexual agenda, pornography, family tax relief and education.    While Traditional Values Coalition is a lobbying organization, its sister organization, Traditional Values Coalition Education & Legal Institute, is a foundation dedicated to educating and supporting churches in their efforts to restore America’s cultural heritage.
